Synopsis: Marine Express is a 90-minute television special from 1979 that was produced by Osamu Tezuka and features many of his famous characters. It’s a sci-fi adventure story about a high-tech train that runs underwater from L.A. to Tokyo along a track covered by a glass tunnel, and features the various Tezuka characters as passengers. There is an emphasis on suspense and intrigue as the characters fight amongst each other and how they react to various crises. Altogether, it’s tense and antagonistic, and a great film.
